"We went to Janus for Mothers Day and were absolutely blown away with the quality of both the service and the food. I have been to several Brazilian BBQ restaurants across Sydney and it is by far the most sophisticated and delicious! The waiters are friendly"

We went here using a voucher for the "All You Can Eat Brazilian BBQ" which equated to the "Janus Wood Fire Grill" menu. We were a group of 12 as we were celebrating a birthday. To start we got one bowl of arancini (enough for one each), two bowls of rocket salad and a plate of bread (again, enough for one slice each). The arancini were good but it would have been nice to have a few more for the table.Next the "all you can eat" selection of meats from the wood fire. The quality of the food was good, however I would expect more from a Brazilian BBQ than getting one small sliver of meat per person, which you ate in one mouthful, then waiting 10 minutes for the next sliver of meat to come round....

I am a regular patron of their excellent cafe a few metres away in the foyer of Chifley Tower so tried the restaurant which is tucked away under the escalators.Good decor with nice ambience. Warmly welcomed by staff.Crab linguine (about $30) good - rather large serving. Snapper ($34) and ravioli ($29) also ordered but two snappers were brought out. Acknowledged was their error but that the ravioli would take 20 minutes so the snapper was graciously accepted as being OK by my friend. Complimentary glass of wine brought to table as apology but 3 women at lunch where only 1 glass of wine had been ordered were not going to have a boozy lunch so it was left untouched. Shame that no effort made to...

I thought I have made a booking for Concrete Blonde, turns out it was Janus. My mistake :)We were taking some friends out for dinner, so when I got the restaurant mixed up I was a little concern. I had no idea the restaurant was a fusion of Italian and Brazilian cuisines. The restaurant is loud and busy with a lot of space so your not rubbing shoulders with strangers.I love the open kitchen and I love how they've got a suckling pig roasting in and open flame so everyone can see. The whole night I couldn't take my eyes of that pig, and I can't tell you how badly I wanted that pig on my plate. The food was lovely, we had entrees to share, our mains were fine, but my friend said her lamb wasn't...

The plan at this restaurant is simple.... feed the clients as slowly as possible...literally a spoonfull of food at a time....until they cant be bothered to stay any longer! We are not big eaters by any stretch of the imagination....but after 2 hrs of the antics here we tossed it in (together with 2 other couples who were already in the place when we arrived). The location is good and the set up is very nice...however I doubt that many would try it twice.Deserves a zero!
