Jay Bharat is not a good restaurant. When I visit a new vegetarian place, especially an Indian one, I usually stick to ordering dishes that I am familiar with so that I can compare them to others. I ordered some basic South Indian dishes like Mysore style dosa, palak paneer, veggie pakoras, and idli sambar. Unfortunately, none of the food tasted fresh or well-prepared. The pakoras were supposed to be hot and crispy, but they were served tepid, limp, and undercooked. Strike one. The palak paneer was lukewarm, although the paneer was okay and saved the dish. The dosa seemed like it had been sitting out for a while and microwaved, making it heavy and tasteless. Good vegetarian Indian food shoul...

The variety of dishes in it is really worth the money and is extremely tasty. The Thali itself is pretty sumptuous and we ordered one vada pav as well. We ended up in a food coma at the end"

The food was delicious, with the only downside being the heavy use of dairy in some dishes, though most were vegan-friendly. Only one dish from each thali included paneer. The squash soup was pleasantly sweet and the okra was a favorite, lacking the usual sliminess. Those who are sensitive to spice should be cautious, as even mild amounts can be quite sinus-clearing. I ate like royalty and was nearly full by the end of the meal. As the restaurant was preparing to close around 9pm, we noticed large family parties still enjoying their meals, confirming that this is a local favorite spot.
The service was good. When we entered they had opened 30 minutes before. The cook time was reasonable- it wasn’t brought out too soon(like it was pre frozen), but it also didn’t take too long. The food was enjoyable. We ordered each person their own plate and one for the table. Portions are a little small so you might have to buy more than one thing. The bathroom was okay, there was no mirror. Overall a good experience.
Another great Indian cuisine restaurant in Artesia. We had a lunch here where we ordered vada pav, samosa for starters and gujrati thali for main course. Absolutely great authentic Indian taste. Every thing they served was tasty. Even the Lassi we ordered in the end. It's a 20 odd table restaurant with corner location in a square. A must visit for Indian food lovers Book a table now
Jay Bharat offers tasty, traditional Indian cuisine. I ordered the thali with puri, masala dosa, and samosas, and the dishes were packed with flavor. The servings were ample and reasonably priced. The restaurant was well-kept, roomy, and welcoming. I had a great dining experience there. Finding parking may be a bit tricky as street parking requires payment.
The price was very decent considering the portions I was served in the Thali. I ordered the Gujarati Thali. The flavors were amazing, there were so many items in the Thali, including rice, bread, different types of daal and curries, pickles, raita, papad, dessert, etc. Everything was very well prepared and very authentic. It was a great experience
This place was an excellent choice for vegetarian food for reasons unknown the standard of the food has gone down. The food is not freshly made anymore. The Indian signature knick-knack Samosas were store bought and they were tiny and the price for plate that consist of four was 6.49 which was very high in pricing.
The restaurant is pleasant and customer service is excellent. The food was very well seasoned and full of flavour but all the vegetable curries were swimming in oil, which made the food slightly disgusting. If they would significantly reduce the use of oil, everything would be excellent. Book a table now
This is a sweet little restaurant, with a bit a a bistro like feel. The service was great. They were super nice. The prices seem fair. The food was good. The portions are a bit small, but that’s inflation for you. Lol Over all, if you are in the area, pop in for a quick bite.
