I found this place on the internet and looked forward to visiting. On the first visit I was happy and reasonably impressed on our first visit but that, unfortunately was the only time. The landlords missus was a nightmare when she turned up drunk as a skunk and this place focuses on Football a lot of the time, which is ok if you like football. However, to be fair service was very good and Jefe was quite friendly. Definitely worth a visit but do not expect to stay for more than a few slurps.
We visited on a chilly November evening it was our first preliminary visit to this area. Inside was full but the clients already in the full bar offered to make room to accommodate us. We declined and said we would sit outside due to the current situation. The barmaid immediately came and wiped down tables and chairs for us. Another customer brought us blankets from inside to keep the cold at bay. We felt very welcomed and the beer was fabulous as well.
Jeff runs a great ship here...since starting he has built up a regular returning customer set...all nationalities...get down there and enjoy a couple of hours of great drinks, convial atmosphere ..and sometimes raucous nights...it attracts all
Good draft beer and good staff. The clients were local English with very poor vocabulary, f word in every sentence. I would go back if it wasn't for them!
