The two women working behind the counter were amazing! They were incredibly friendly and seemed to truly enjoy serving us their delicious ice cream. The shop wasn't busy, so they encouraged us to try as many flavors as we wanted. That's great customer service! But the real star here is the ice cream. After trying multiple flavors – to the point where I almost didn't have room for more – I settled on the gooey butter cake in a waffle cone. Wow. This was without a doubt the best ice cream I've ever had in DC. It's easily in my top five of all time. I'm so happy that DC finally has such a fantastic ice cream shop!
I recently visited an ice cream shop and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the staff. The ice cream was delicious, but what really stood out to me was the friendly and attentive team members. When given the option to choose where to satisfy my sweet tooth, I will always choose a place like Jeni's with outstanding staff over others with just okay service.
I was delighted to find that this establishment had three vegan ice cream options available. I decided to try the coconut cold brew flavor in a bowl. While the flavor was delicious and distinctive, I found that the overall quality and texture of the ice cream was lacking. There were chunks of ice dispersed throughout the dessert, making it more icy than creamy.
The restaurant offered three flavors of ice cream, but the pb&j flavor seemed to be missing. Overall, the ice cream was good. However, we wanted more variety, so we went to a nearby place that mainly had sorbet options. Disappointed, we returned to the original restaurant. The cones were made with butter, and the staff kindly warned us about it.

Four delicious vegan flavors offered. They are clearly marked and advertised in the store. The flavors, which seemed somewhat permanent, are: Roasted Peanut Butter Strawberry Jam, Texas Sheet Cake, Cold Brew with Coconut Cream, and Dark Chocolate Truffle. We sampled them all and were pleased particularly with the Texas Sheet Cake.
The restaurant has excellent and friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. The ice cream was delicious. The restaurant was very busy and parking was hard to find, but it is definitely worth it.
Visiting family in the DC area, so our first time at Jeni’s and it was super yummy. The salted peanut butter chocolate chip was the best!
While this may not be a must-visit ice cream destination, it's a solid option if you're in the area and craving something sweet.
