Jenny is a welcoming very pleasant restaurateur. A wide menu, excellent service and very reasonably priced. I was offered a complimentary coffee while waiting for our take away order which on the Friday evening the 26th August and it only took 20 minutes. The order, imperial scallops and crab meat sauce, special fried rice, sambal chicken, combination omelette came with complimentary spring rolls. It was very tasty and excellent quality. Jenny made recommendations which pleasingly included her advice I wouldn't need the other dish I was thinking of ordering as her serves were quite large. How true that was, we still couldn't finish the order we had. How can you beat that all at $53 for three...
We attended this restaurant for a 100th birthday party. The food was excellent and in plentiful serves. The style is Aussie Chinese( eg sweet and sour pork, steak in black bean). But it was well done and the crowd was happy.Without sounding patronising, there is a place for this style of cooking, and apparently this place is always busy.The staff were pleasant and most obliging. And they had Real Chinese tea( not the cheap Jasmine).So enjoy old style Chinglish food!
Good food but never order sambal or south east asian dishes here...you'll be disappointed if you are of those background. Very accommodating. Has been a local chinese joint for ages and moved slightly with time. But still retain some of the old aussie-chinese dishes...eg mongolian lamb, etc. Value for money. Bring the whole family.
