I had never been to Jersey Mike's before, so I decided to sample two of their subs: #13 (Italian with hot peppers) and #6 (roast beef). I ordered both sandwiches "Mike's Way," and I was really pleased with the results! Since it was my first visit, I might have been able to ask for my bread to be toasted, but aside from that, I noticed a couple of small things. I would have liked the Italian sub to include banana peppers and some extra hot relish. In my opinion, it's comparable to Pizzeria Grande and the Good Food Store. I'm definitely planning to return to try their spicy subs, but remember, I'm just one person! Oh, that’s funny!
As a local patron, I strongly recommend that you consider hiring staff who are more courteous. I rated my experience with two stars, not because of the food—which is consistently delicious and deserves a solid five stars—but rather due to the poor customer service. The young men working here come across as indifferent and unmotivated. These visits remind me why I don't come as often as I'd like. As I write this in frustration over their lack of manners and overall poor service, I want to mention that my order was quite simple: a number 7 for my youngest child and a number 26 for my husband—nothing complicated at all.
The subs are what you would expect, but the experience really depends on what time you visit. When I arrived at 8:30 PM (and they close at 9:00 PM), the girl at the counter was preoccupied with her phone and gave me an unfriendly look when I walked in. They were out of wheat bread, which I can overlook, but then they were also out of lettuce. When I asked about it, she said they weren't out; they just needed to prepare more. I suggested they might as well close at 8:30. Overall, I encountered a bad attitude and poor customer service. I won't be returning.
The food is generally quite good. However, I've observed that every time I visit in the evening, the staff at the counter seem to be upset, short-tempered, and somewhat rude. I recognize that working a night shift can be tough, but as a customer—having held similar jobs myself—I strive to remain patient and courteous. It's unfortunate that I often feel the urge to leave quickly because of the unwelcoming environment.

I have always enjoyed the food here, but my experience today was overshadowed by the staff's rudeness. It felt like everyone had a short fuse and was frustrated by customers coming in. I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so this time, as I’ve decided not to return to this location.
I picked up my to-go order and when I got home, I discovered that the subs only contained meat and cheese, with no toppings at all. I double-checked my order and it turns out that I had indeed requested lettuce, tomato, and onion for all of the subs. Service: Takeout.
