I stopped by Harold's for the first time after reading some reviews, and I'm glad I made the detour. I'm not a local; I'm just in Chicago for work, but I have no regrets about my choice. The food was generous and tasty. I tried the fish nuggets, wings, fries, and spaghetti. To clarify, the spaghetti wasn’t the typical “soul food” style; I mean that in a neutral way, not to offend anyone. After my long 12-hour workday, I didn't feel unwell at all. The flavors were great, the prices were reasonable, and I felt safe in the restaurant.
I had a fantastic experience at J J Fish Chicken! The customer service was excellent, and the fish I ordered was always fresh. I especially appreciate that even with a small order, they give you four pieces, while many other places only serve three and their portions tend to be smaller. The location is very convenient, right on the highway at 127th and Ashland, and they have their own parking lot. I wholeheartedly give J J Fish Chicken my seal of approval!
One of my favorite places to eat when I return home. The food is prepared just the way I like it.
