Our server was incredibly pleasant and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious, with the cocktails being a delightful treat as well. Honestly, what more could you want from a lovely dinner out? We started with the mac and cheese, which was hands down the best I’ve ever had—so incredibly tasty! For the main course, I enjoyed the steak frites and a sandwich (I can’t recall the name, but it had ground brisket, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and was just brilliant). The atmosphere at JM Curley was delightful, although it may be a bit too dim for those with older eyes. My wife and I ordered the steak fries, which ended up being more fries than steak. We both requested our steaks cooked medium, but they came out closer to medium well. Personally, I felt the portion size was a bit small for the price, although I understand the current inflation challenges. My brother enjoyed his burger, and my sister-in-law mentioned that her Buffalo Mac and Cheese was excellent. Our waiter was very courteous, but he could have checked on us a bit more often, as we had to wait longer than usual to place our order for a second round of drinks.
I don't write reviews nearly as often as I should, but this restaurant deserves it. During a long holiday weekend in Boston, we dined at several high-end destinations, all of which were amazing. However, Jm Curley may just have the best burger in Boston. Everything we tried seemed to be made from scratch, right down to the Caesar dressing. Their cocktails are exceptional, thoughtfully crafted and presented. The wings were absolutely delicious (in the best way possible). All the servers were genuinely kind and seemed to enjoy their work. We will definitely recommend this spot to others, and we plan to return on our next visit.
I liked the service and the cocktails, and I like the whole set-up with Bogie's and The Wig Shop, and next time I'll go for Bogie's. That is really the place we wanted to go. Curley's is too loud for me. Will try The Wig Shop, also. But for the money, jm Curley's is OK, but not special.
