Jmorgan's Steakhouse

The food was outstanding! It's a nice and quiet environment, upscale and was the perfect 5 year anniversary celebratory dinner. We each had a beverage and enjoyed the loaded potato chips for an appetizer. I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon and my husband had the shrimp scampi. For dessert we shared a creme brulee. However, our waitress did not fit the restaurant. I'm not sure if she was new but honestly she was less than good. She was very quiet and we could hardly hear her. It took us 20 minutes after being seated for her to come over and take our drink order. She never once asked if my steak was cooked to my liking, nor did she ask how our meal was. I ordered the Montreal ribeye and my friend ordered the regular ribeye. Both of then were very thin, probably around 1/2 thick. I asked for medium rare and my steak was so over cooked that the waiter said something before I even could. It was well done, without question. The waiter was decent and offered a new steak to me, which I denied because I knew it would have been another 20-30 min wait, and ended up getting us one free desert. I'm not high maintenence by any stretch, and never send food back, but for a place that advertises as a premier steakhouse and our steaks costing $39, I was very disappointed in J Morgans.

Astoundingly mediocre! Solidly okay! Best steak place in town... but the only steak place in town...

Service was very slow. Food good. Lobster club so so- salad huge.
