Great place if you're craving KC barbecue. We had a brisket sandwich and the Rocket Pig. I thought it was the best pulled pork sandwich I have eaten. The fried jalapeños, bacon, and cheese added to the sweet sauce of the smoked pork. Sides of onion rings and macaroni and cheese were a nice addition to our meal. Servings were large, so we had enough for a second meal. Definitely check it out!!
The quality of Joe's BBQ is great. The fries are ome of the best in town. But the sandwich I got was so sparse, it wasn't worth $10. That's unfortunate since we went to a different BBQ a couple of weeks ago and ordered the same sandwich, beef and turkey combo on white bread. It had 3 times the meat on it for less money. Price is the #1 reason to avoid Joe's.
What happened tonight? We usually order and love the Zman, but we were disappointed this time. It looked great as always, but the beef was extremely thin and lacked both smoke and beef flavor. We will definitely come back, but we're just really surprised and hope there hasn't been any change to the perfect BBQ sandwich.
I had the burnt ends lunch platter with the street corn. The burnt ends were lackluster unfortunately as about half of them were just balls of fat. The rest of it was quite good and the corn was incredible. I've been here many times before and this was the first time I've been kinda disappointed in my selection. Book a table now
If there was ever a sandwich that is something I think about. The z man sandwich is up there as far as one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I will be thinking about this sandwich for a long time.
This is one of the better BBQ restaurants in the K. C. area. I've eaten at quite a few and this is a favorite of mine. Always a good experience.
The food is always excellent. This is likely the best BBQ in Kansas City. I also brought home some pulled pork, and wow, it was amazing!
