First time; bad experience. My husband and I came to the place, thinking we would find Clemenza's restaurant. When we noticed the change, we gave it a try. We ordered 2 ice teas, a chicken parm sandwich and a meat lasagna. We waited about 45 minutes forthe food when when it arrived, we had to leave. The lasagna was all burn, the whole thing tasted like burned and my husband'sparm had absolutely no taste. We were hungry and before waiting any longer, a nice lady came over, apologized and offered toreduce the bill on half. Food is okay, service not so much. They forgot my salad, the dishes came out at different times, they got the dessert order wrong. Make sure you ask the for the prices of the specials before ordering one. We were surprised to get hit with a $34 charge for a stuffed filet of sole (not a particularly expensive fish). The $28 salmon was okay but tiny leaving me hungry. The owners seem like very nice people so I feel a little uneasy about leaving this midling review. Perhaps we just got the wrong dishes.
Please take this as constructive feedback: the front and back of house operations are crucial in making a restaurant thrive, either through excellent service or quality food. You have a lovely location in a beautiful area. If this is a new endeavor for you, please invest some time in training your kitchen staff to focus on cooking and producing high-quality meals. This effort would surely bring customers back, even if they have to wait a bit for their food. Wishing you the best in your new business.
Have had the privilege of eating there three times each time better and better we had amazing lunch yesterday prices reasonable and the food was delicious.. The spicy chicken meatballs are a must also enjoyed the chicken Parm with spaghetti. My friend and I love to dine and enjoyed our Vino we didn?t feel rushed. So glad we found you and that you were open for lunch we will be back!

I had a wonderful meal tonight. Unfortunately, our evening was cut short because our original destination was unexpectedly closed. However, the owner and hostess were extremely pleasant and accommodating to our group, which had come in from out of state. I highly recommend the rice balls, chicken, salmon, and the Sunday dinner!
At Joey's Tap Tavern, I was disappointed to find no French onion soup on the menu. I ordered chicken balls, but instead received two servings instead of one split order, and one was beef balls. Even after returning the beef balls and explaining I didn't want them, I was still charged.

Hands down the best restaurant in NJ. The Chilean Sea Bass is out of this world as are all of the fish options here. Pizza every Friday night and Sunday night sauce. One of the last remaining Italian stallion establishments. Beautiful!
A great place to stop in and have a nice dinner. Great staff and friendly service. You will not be disappointed.
