Down Home Cooking. Johnny Rebs' is one of those down home restaurants where you can get some real southern cookin'. It's a no frills/casual place where you can eat food and have sticky fingers afterwards. The decor is rustic with wood everywhere you look. Each table has a metal bucket of peanuts in the shell. You can crack them on the table and scoop the remnants on the floor. What a great place to make a mess at your table and it's expected. : The menu is mostly bbq for lunch and dinner with other Louisiana and southern dishes such as jambalaya, gumbo and catfish. Breakfast includes grits and biscuits with many of the dishes. I hear that the sweet potato pancakes are amazing and plan to go...
As for the fried green tomato pizza, it was probably the best veggie pizza I've had in a while. I love roasted green tomatoes, and having them on a pizza was even better. The crust was thin and the pizza was generously topped with cheese that complemented the tomatoes perfectly. It will be hard to try their other two pizza options because I'm already craving this one again. I guess that means when I go back, I’ll have to order more than just one—pizza feast time!
Overall, these two dishes alone were impressive enough for me to give a rating of four stars for now. I look forward to returning for dinner, brunch, and happy hour. The delicious pizza for just $7 and the great beer prices make it...
Love coming to Johnny Rebs'. Ever since my friend introduced me to JRs' for my bday 14 years ago, I have been coming to get the catfish and eggs or the chicken fried steak and eggs. But today we got the chicken and waffles and tried a few of their new breakfast specials, YUM. Oh and do t forget the fried green tomatoes. But if make it for dinner try the fried chicken, it is great!
I've come here regularly. Flavor profiles are very consistent. Some of the staff are pretty new, it seems. My daughter and I sat outside. Jenny the bartender is extremely personable and always checks to make sure everything is ok. I had the chicken and waffle. It was slightly too greasy this time. I'd get it again. If you order it, try it with the jalapeno syrup.

I've been to this place a few times while the original location was closed due to a fire. The quality is still just as good, although the atmosphere isn't quite the same as the street house vibe. Nevertheless, the food is excellent, and I've had a great time every visit. I highly recommend trying the BBQ chicken—it has a delicious smoky flavor!
For my main course, I ordered the baby back ribs, accompanied by collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The ribs were tender and flavorful, the greens were seasoned to perfection, and the mac and cheese was warm and creamy. I highly recommend Johnny Reb's; it’s a fantastic restaurant!
I was a bit hesitant to dine here at first, as I thought it might be similar to a Red Robin or Applebee's, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was actually pretty good, although it's not my favorite restaurant.
Both my husband and I are from the South, with him being born and raised there and me growing up in the region from a young age. We are constantly on the lookout for fantastic southern and Caribbean restaurants.

When I found out that Los Angeles had reopened, I headed straight to Steelcraft only to find that they weren't open yet. Fortunately, there was a fantastic restaurant right across the street...
