This was my first time dining at Johnny Rockets Palms Crossing McAllen. After a day of shopping at the outlets, my girls searched for 50s-style diners and this one came up first. I really loved the authentic 50s/60s vibe throughout the restaurant. The staff were very friendly as well. The only downside was that the booths felt a bit cramped; they could benefit from moving to a larger space. The menu offered a great variety, which matches the place's popularity.
The worst experience i?ve had at a restaurant in a long time. I used to love this place and always thought it was really nice and clean. Went last week and the whole restaurant smelled like a restroom. All the tables dirty. A cockroach on my booth andsaw one climbing up the wall. The wait staff was friendly and allowed us to not pay the bill rightfully so but this place hasgone down hill. Never coming here again. This place has roaches.

During my extended stay at a nearby hotel, I frequented Johnny Rockets Palms Crossing McAllen at least twice a week. The burgers and chicken tenders were consistently delicious, but what stood out most was the exceptional customer service and the professionalism of the staff. I’d give the food 4 stars and the manager and team a full 5 stars for their remarkable service.
Asked for our burgers a certain way and they all came with a special sauce that we didn't like. They didn't tell us that that's the way they come. We did not enjoy our burgers as all. It's a nice environment and great music but the place was very hot. Theyreally need to fix air-conditioning. It's hot enough already outside.
