I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I was hoping to support them as a black-owned business, but unfortunately, they repeatedly served me the burnt and inedible bottom of the rice. As a Haitian American woman, I can't believe they would serve such poor quality food to paying customers. I also noticed that some items were missing from my order. There was no sense of accountability or effort to make things right with me as a customer. It's disappointing that I have to explicitly request not to receive the burnt rice when ordering. Otherwise, be prepared to risk injuring your teeth on the hard grains.
This is my third time using this place. Here are my observations: first and foremost every time I go in the lady in there is either not wearing a mask or isn't covering her face properly. Second of all, as far as customer service, these people are horrible i mean awful and so rude on the phone. I got the phone hung up on my face because I was checking on the status of my order which took over two hours. And lastly the quality of the food is just plain disgusting probably from having to wait for so long. Let me save you the disappointment: do not go there !
I’ve never had the oxtail that I’m hearing about in the reviews but I’ve eaten here at least 10X since they opened and I’ve never been disappointed. Giant portions of the jerk chicken very fair prices. A small plate will feed you once but a large plate is lunch and dinner.?The staff are always friendly the food taste homemade.
I am typically critical of restaurants, but I have to say, the rice at this place was amazing. I highly recommend coming here as they have great food and excellent service. The cashier is also very attractive and has the perfect haircut. I couldn't help but admire him and wish he was mine. He leaves me speechless.
