Jolly Sailor - Table reservation

in a group of three of us were fish chips, muddy heaps and chips. good size fish boiled very well, teig was really crispy. chips exceptional. my broad had steak cake and although it would have preferred shortcrust bakery, it was very nice. thick gravy and delicate steak filling, they enjoyed it. overall nothing much to be negatiw, and it was a good meal reasonable price. I'm sure we'll be back.

we chose the jolly sailors for bonfire night to take our dog away from fireworks, as it is quite isolated. many others had the same idea! this part worked well. what turned the evening into something special was the friendly, helpful staff that no one looked up with round dogs in the bar and the absolutely excellent fishing and chips and that is excellent both in quality and in quantity.

Gone completely down hill, very poor food, all 6 of us said we would never return having dined there many times before. The food is simply not up to a good standard at all. I was refused a child’s meal with no explanation why. I should have said I was identifying as a child and see what they said then. Zero atmosphere, expensive for poor quality food.

DISGUSTING..Had the parmo , absolutely swimming in grease, the chicken was chicken strips the béchamel was grey and mixed into the greasy breadcrumbs after waiting 40 minutes to say we were disappointed is an understatement

This place is absolute gobshite. Literally. The food is dry as anything, and the atmosphere was pathetic. Do not recommend.
