Been here quite a few times over the years and The Joy Balti has never disappointed! On the last two occasions we’ve been here (one of them being New Year’s Eve) we were served by Si, who was not only professional and approachable but also easy to get along with, nothing was too much trouble for him! The food is always very tasty from the more mild Korma/Biryani dishes to the more spicy Jalfrezi/Madras dishes! The fact you’re able to bring along your own choice of alcohol is also a fabulous bonus! Well done Joy Balti, keep up the good work!
While visiting relatives in Calne, we decided to dine at Joy Balti House despite warnings about paying by credit card. Our group enjoyed the food, but were surprised when the bill included items we hadn't ordered, totaling nearly £100. After questioning the bill, the waiter quickly provided a revised and accurate bill. It was strange as we were the only customers in the restaurant. So, be sure to double check your bill to avoid any surprises!
Ordered a takeaway; arrived over 30 minutes late, every time I chased was told it was on it's way (I live 5 minutes away); when it arrived most of it was cold, salty, bland and uninspiring. It was very expensive. Would not recommend this.
Have been here many times Im especially impressed by the wonderful customer service and delicious food by the joy balti.. Especially si (one of the waiters) was very welcoming and a great laugh.. Will definitely come back again.

The restaurant has a great ambiance for both large groups and couples looking for an intimate dining experience. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. I am a frequent customer and highly recommend this place.
We choose a few different dishes and they all tasted the same, plus quite bland with no much flavours. The poppadoms tasted of old oil, very unpleasant. Maybe was the wrong night , but I don’t think I will give another go,
Ordered lamb rogon josh takeaway. Very bland, thought I was eating lamb stew! Poppadoms had a strange taste to them as if possibly cooked in old oil. Normally pretty good there but not this time.
Amazing curry restaurant! I have been dining here for years and have never had a disappointing meal. The service is friendly and you can bring your own wine. I absolutely love it!

Good standard curry. Nothings over the ordinary but this is calne. Staff were pleasant band food was of a good standard and hot. Bringing your own beer is a plus.
Ordered takeaway for myself and partner. Food arrived in good time and still hot. Food was delicious no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend!
