We went to Juan y Andrea for lunch knowing about the hype of the place and willing to pay the minimum consumption. We were welcomed by efficient waiters that are trained to talk clients into buying a big fish to share which is what we did. We did not ask for the price ahead our mistake. But getting the bill and seeing the unbelievable sum of € 537,90 for 4 portions of a mediocre prepared fish with one potatoe side dish, I must say: NO THANKS. This is not how you do it sorry. I am gutted. We don’t mind to pay a little more when things are great, but this is an absolute rip off. The the view is amazing, but you get this view easily elsewhere on Formentera…
Horrible experience! The waiters show around the lobsters holding them by the feelers or legs and treat them very badly. One guy brought out this huge lobster and just placed a heavy box on him, hurting his head and legs. If you have to cook the animal, at least respect it until the very end! Very disturbing scenes we had to leave because this went on and on and on. Awful!
The food and location are ok for the price-structure. But the owner has come up with something special to get as much money from you as possible. He works with minimum amounts of consumption per person that are much too high. You feel really screwed up, which can ruin the whole day. If you want to be a victim, go!
