A bar that has an amazing view of Sydney Harbour and Opera House; a restaurant that serves mouth-watering classic dishes from Japan, Korea, and South-East Asia; a trendy nightlife hot spot in the surroundings of the historical Rocks district; a venue that has reinvented itself to bring you impeccable service and intimate ambience. Does that sound like something ticks your boxes for a good night out? I can only tell you from my personal experience: Junk Lounge is all about good food, romantic ambience and the wow effect. It is ideal for a date night, group celebration, or for entertaining overseas visitors.
With rain bucketing down outside, we headed to Junk Lounge, a funky, vibrant bar at the Overseas Passenger Terminal with a beautiful view of the harbour at Circular Quay! We were so excited to try the creative, Asian-inspired drinks! Our first pick was the Kung Fu Hustle, a vodka based cocktail with lychee ginger syrup, fresh apple and citrus juice. It was light and refreshing, and delicate, with great zesty flavours.
Happy Lunar New Year!! I wanted a relaxing weekend to celebrate Lunar New Year, so I head to Junk Lounge. Junk Lounge is located above Cruise Bar in Circular Quay so it has gorgeous water views. So what's on? . The Lunar New Year Banquet at Junk Lounge is available 25th Jan to 9th Feb. I decide to go with this menu as there's a lot of variety however there's also a la cart menu if you are keen.
Awesome bar with an awesome view. We luckily got a seat by the window so we were able to enjoy dinner with a view. The highlight was definitely the seared tuna and the snapper which was grilled at the table then served over soba. The hainan chicken rice was nothing like the typical one the rice was stuffed inside the whole chicken. The desserts were alright, nothing amazing.
