Unfortunately, my experience shifted from 5 stars to 1 star. I went out for dinner with my family, and everything started off well. We placed our orders and waited about 45 minutes before closing. We enjoyed our food and took our time eating. However, as time passed, the staff brought me the check before I had finished. I like to savor my meals and eat slowly. The waiter asked if I was ready, so we continued chatting and eating until the restaurant officially closed. We were the last customers there, and while I was still about 60% through my soup, I was abruptly told that they were closed and needed me to pay and leave. Being rushed like that made me quite unhappy, especially during a meal....
This restaurant offers fantastic Vietnamese cuisine at great prices. The servers are friendly and attentive, and there's a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I tried the brisket pho, and the broth was rich and flavorful, plus they served a generous amount of meat. Although the meat was slightly overcooked and a bit dry, the soup had a good amount of vegetables and the noodles were perfectly cooked with a satisfying portion. What a surprising find! I usually trek all the way to San Gabriel for pho, but with traffic, it was taking too long. So, I did a quick search and came across this place in Eagle Rock. It only took me half the time to get there despite the rain, and what a delightful discovery it was! I ordered the Pho Tai, and both the broth and the beef were excellent—very tender. The bun was fresh and packed with flavor. The egg rolls were crispy, although not the best I’ve ever had (for that, I recommend Golden Deli). Still, this spot will definitely be my go-to for good pho, especially during rainy weather. The service last night was also very good!
I recently moved to the area and was searching for a place to eat when I noticed the open sign. However, when I asked to be seated, I was met by a gentleman who smacked his lips and let out a frustrated "ugh." It turned out the restaurant was closing soon, and he clearly didn't want to accommodate new customers. This behavior was unprofessional and quite rude. If they didn't intend to seat anyone, they should have turned off the open sign. It's unfortunate because I was looking forward to becoming a regular patron, especially since I live nearby. I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant.

More like 3.5 stars: just fine but not spectacular.Located in the Vons lot on Fig in Eagle Rock, K5 has a wide variety of Vietnamese and other Asian dishes. The pho is pretty good, not too salty, and they're generous with the beef. Not the best but pretty good. When it was Eagle Rock Pho Noodle they also had beer wine but not anymore.The room has a nice vibe and service is attentive; lots of workers and laborer types come here for lunch and those guys know where the good stuff is so that's a clue. Worth a visit in you're in ER or HLP.
I've been a fan of pho for most of my life, and this restaurant serves some of the best I've tasted. I ordered item #9, and the broth was incredibly flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and tender meat. I highly recommend this place! The vibe and atmosphere were also fantastic. I can't wait to try the smoothie on my next visit!
This restaurant serves the best Vietnamese food in Los Angeles, outside of Orange County and the San Gabriel Valley. While the menu isn't groundbreaking, the dishes are genuine and truly delicious. Although it may not be worth a drive longer than 25 minutes, it's a must-visit for residents of Highland Park and Eagle Rock.
This is a charming, family-owned restaurant. The pho was absolutely delicious. We also tried the grilled pork and shrimp rolls, which were delightful. We will definitely be returning for more!

The Bahn Mi was incredibly delicious! It was wonderfully seasoned, and the bread was outstanding. The pho was good as well, but the Bahn Mi truly took the spotlight!
This has always been our favorite pho restaurant because it’s incredibly convenient! It's great to have such delicious food so nearby.
