During our trip from Toronto, a friend in the area took us to this restaurant for lunch, and we were truly impressed by the quality of the food and the impeccable service. It's been a while since I've experienced such attentive service. Our server was not only friendly but also very accommodating. The restaurant's decor and ambiance enhance its charm; it’s clean and comfortable, and the seating arrangements provide a sense of privacy. A jewel hidden in Poco! Super delicious and light boujee Japanese cuisine, you can see that they are a little over and over any random sushi place. The bomb roll was SO BOMB with a crispy outer area and a soft and warm inner area. The ebi oshi also had such a nice smoke taste. The currykatsu was a little dry for me, but considering the share it was worth. Loved the friendly service, the presentation and the small details, such as the interior and the ceramic used to serve food. On the pricier price point for sushi but we have worth our money plus a good experience.
First time going, the place is quiet, good lighting, the staff is friendly and polite. Lots of selection on the menu with description in their special rolls. We ordered Lunch special B, assorted sasahimi, salmon tuna oshi, Burke Mountain roll Rainbow roll. All were brilliantly made, sashimi was very fresh and everything taste great! Although the place was a far drive, it was well worth it. We will definitely go back for seconds!
We went there for my birthday dinner, the restaurant has a very modern interior and is quite spacious. We ordered the assorted sashimi, refreshing roll, salmon oshi sushi, and spicy ebi mayo. The food all arrived in a timely manner and both looked and tasted great. The sashimi was super fresh and had a very clean taste. I'd definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. In general this restaurant is not worth to revisit. Service is pretty good but asked to collect dishes too frequent even there?s still food in this dish. No others are waiting for table but seems wanting us to leave. Food is a bit too pricey. With the same quality, there is alot more choices in tri cities. The best part is actually variety of ice cream ? which was not in the picture.
I'm quite particular when it comes to food, but Kai Japanese Restaurant consistently provides an exceptional dining experience. I enjoy everything on their menu, from the fresh sashimi to the hot dishes. The servers are friendly, and the food is excellent! It's a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
The quality here is unbelievable. The service is excellent. While the prices may be a bit higher than what you can find elsewhere, once the food is served, it all makes sense and feels like a good value for the freshness and deliciousness of their fish. Even the rice is exquisite!
