We stayed at the Gloria Palace Royal over Christmas and when we made the booking there was an option to book the Kaia restaurant tasting menu which we thought would be a nice treat during our holiday. It was quite expensive at €69 per head but we decided it would make a change to the buffet restaurant which was included in our half board booking. On arrival we were met by a lovely waiter where we were seated indoors. The restaurant was empty apart from 1 other couple. No background music, apart from the annoying din from the hotel entertainment, not a 5 star restaurant. Half a dry French stick and some butter to begin, followed by a really wet and strange aperitif, left overs from news years eve I think! The wine was nice, albeit the waiter was confused when we asked for a sauvignon blanc, so we got the Lanzarote white!! El trato era exquisito, el chico que nos trató un 10, la comida la verdad que una cosa mejor me esperaba. Pedí el solomillo de la ternera que debo reconocer que estaba en su punto pero la guarnición dejó lo suficiente para querer, un pastel de papá seco y recalentado, los calamares de entrada muy normales a mi opinión, sentía más la empatía que el sabor del calamar. También pedimos una sangría que desde mi punto de vista era muy caro 21 € por litro, era ácido y los frutos eran de olla. la pequeña entrada que nos dieron por la casa es apreciada.
un restaurante con una vista inmejorable. íntimo con un tratamiento cercano pero elegante. la comida es sabrosa y la cantidad es correcta. Además, es de aquellos lugares donde la carta no te abruma y respeta el producto. El precio es el que se espera de tal lugar, en un hotel y en la zona donde está.

The restaurant has a view over the Atlantic Ocean, we were there for sunset around 19:30, it was beautiful! Top service and very good food, great wine too. All in all an excellent evening. Would definitely go back!
Solo un pequeño restaurante donde puedes sentarte adentro y afuera, tienen un menú pequeño, pero el sabor era bueno, también los vinos de la casa <tinto> eran realmente buenos.
Restaurante muy tranquilo,el servicio es una maravilla,la chica que nos atendió era muy amable.La comida,nada que en otros lugares no haya ahora mismo en Gran Canaria.
