The coffee here is pretty great, which is why it sucks that I cannot in good conscious buy anything from there. I've met/dined with the ownership team a number of times and have always walked away feeling really gross about it. They're casually racist (and transphobic, and body-shaming) in a way that leads one to believe that there's a much deeper more serious racism happening just under the surface. They're also strongly opposed to being held accountable or being self-reflective. The coffee's good but no coffee is so good that one should support people like that.
I noticed that the baked goods were left uncovered, and I saw a fly resting on a scone. When I pointed it out to the employee taking my order, I suggested that the food should be kept covered. I was shocked to see them simply swat the fly away without putting a lid or dome over the food. Shortly after, the fly returned and landed right back on the items. I also waited for my drink for at least 10 minutes, and no action was taken regarding the situation!
Looking for a place to eat and get a bit of work done in the Central West End? This is it. It has a modern mid-century vibe with a lot of tables. It definitely gets crowded after 10 am on the weekends. Go early to get a spot. I enjoyed the breakfast plate, with sweet potatoes. They also have delicious smoothies. If you are looking for a Starbucks alternative and want more food options, this is your place.
Extremely slow place. There is hardly anyone in the store but takes 15 min to do a latte. The reason is they can’t control online orders. Ordered at 8:13 coffee in hand 8:31And cold coffee, too. Cause you can’t warm milk enough in 15 minutes.

The black bean burrito was quite good, but on the expensive side. However, given their location, they do have a sort of captive market. Plus, being close to the CWE Metrolink station is a definite advantage.
I love Kaldi's but this location is the S-L-O-W-E-S-T at making coffee drinks. Come here if you've got time to kill or bring work with you...
The music is soothing, and the atmosphere is perfect for studying and relaxation.
Good for a quick breakfast or midday snack. For lunch I like their soups.
