We found KAL's Lunch Bowl inside the Royal Oak Farmers Market building. They had a lot of parking that was very busy. But we managed to find a spot, as many people are in and out. We arrived to a window in the far, back right of the building. There are a few tables right in front of the windows. It's sort of off to side from bustle of the farmer's market, which is nice. This was an unexpected treat. A friend of mine had told me about this place for lunch and I wasn't really sure if they were telling me the truth. However, I thought I should give it a try. They're specialty is Mediterranean food and it is very good. Portions are definitely enough to share or to make sure you're full all day. They were very nice at the counter they explained their menu and I was able to make my choice. Best mediterranean around, especially their shawarma wraps (so good). They are super friendly aswell. It is a very personal experience. Very fairly priced (not expensive which is surprising considering the quality). They operate out of a hole in the wall inside the farmers market in Royal Oak, it is very charming, kind of like A and W but much classier and very charming.
This quaint Mediterranean restaurant at the Royal Oak Farmers Market is a hidden gem! It's definitely among the best I've tried in the area. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is exceptionally fresh. You can’t go wrong with either the chicken shawarma or the beef shawarma – both are delicious!

Everything is so good and so fresh!! I love how much you can customize the bowls. The salads have the perfect salad to veggie ratio. The soups are delicious. My favorite Mediterranean spot.
