Our dim sum lunch at ‘Kam Ding’ yesterday was held to honour Mom — son and daughter’s treat for Mother’s Day — and they did well. The restaurant chosen for the event, was the son’s choice, and because we knew it was a familiar and...favourite spot of his, we (Mom, daughter, and I) pretty much let him do most of the ordering. He scored well on selecting many of Mom’s favourite dishes — we chimed in a little with some of the other choices made. Service was prompt and timely, and always friendly, fun, and nicely-personal. From our dining experience, I was most-impressed with how well the servers knew ‘what’ they were doing, and ‘how’ to do it. What was ordered: From the carts: chive dumplings w...

The prices are very reasonable. The décor is very basic and not conducive to relaxing and lingering. We were in and out in minutes. We went for dim sum and all dishes were This is one of the few places that still do...cart service. We had dishes – sticky rice, sui mai, spareribs and deep fried dumpling. We did not enjoy the food. The dumpling seemed very greasy and we did not like the filling. The sticky rice did not have any Chinese sausage and again we did not like the filling that they had as there was also no chicken in it. The sui mai and spareribs were okay but not great. They were very busy and service was decent. We would not return. Although the prices were good the food was not goo...

Went for Sunday brunch. Service was friendly and quick. Our waitress brought the fried offerings on a tray for us to choose and then the steamed items came by on a cart shortly after. Never had to wait long for the food to come around,...even though it was busy. This place adds thin sliced garlic and chillies to their fried squid and it was awesome!

The food is what I would classify as homestyle; the flavours are authentic but nothing to write home about. Not having had everything on the menu, the black bean spareribs were really tender. The sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves was missing a key ingredient:...Chinese sausage! The price was acceptable. The parking is really limiting. Book a table now

Food was excellent, but word of advice, only order a couple of dishes at a time, so that food is hot. Service is quick. The server comes around with a tray of fried options first, and then a cart with hot dishes. Food is excellent...decor can use some freshening up, very dated and damage to our table. E also had a broken plate.

Off the beaten path, somewhat hidden from view is Kam Ding, a family owned restaurant with a strong Asian clientele. You don’t come here for the decor, you come here for the food, arrive early on Dim Sum days, or wait outside, it is that...popular. Good prices, tasty food, We eat here often but just now thought to review.

Excellent dim sum. Fresh, non greasy and good old fashioned cart service! Friendly servers and a real collegial atmosphere among the customers who obviously know they are receiving great dim sum for a reasonable price.

Excellent food and excellent service. We have a new favourite restaurant for brunch! We used to go China Town for Dim Sum but now we’ve found this gem there’s no need to travel so far. Highly recommend! Book a table now

This restaurant may be the best dim sum restaurant in Coquitlam. I go to the restaurant quite often and I have been very happy each time
