Kamome - Table reservation

Setting: reasonably nice, fairly quiet. Works well for business lunches.Service: is often smiley and friendly, but also often quite approximate. Today for example one of the extras brought my tea and set the tea-pot right in front of me - if I meant to actually drink I had to move it to the side. Later on the same extra put another tea-pot right in front of the friend I was lunching with - so her more experienced colleague had to later move this away to simply lay the dishes down. It's frequently the same at Kamome: there is a smaller share of experienced staff, and a larger share of very inexperienced staff who have little to no clue. A bit weird at this price level.Cuisine: is OK not stunn...

We went to Kamone on Saturday night as a couple after reading his Rave reviews and saw it listed on Tripadvisor as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Geneva. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The highlights were definitely connected to the service, the waiters and waiters, all very attentive and pleasant. The rest was short. The Teppanyaki, both the actual Teppanyaki station as well as the chefs, looked tired and from the brand, the interior and placement of the tables gives the whole place a very cold industrial ambience and the food was sad to say OK, but nowhere even near the Top 10 Japanese we ate in Geneva. We were so excited to try this Japanese restaurant at the Movempick Hotel near the airport. The welcoming from the manager was bad, cold and no smile given.. We've been waiting for at least 20minutes before someone come to take the drinks order. The manager came, We complained about the wait, a little apologies as a answer.. The food was ok but not exceptional. We did not feel comfortable and welcome in this restaurant. I won't recommend it.

I have eaten at Kamone last time in July 2017. Restaurant at the basement of Movempick hotel. It has Teppanyaki tables as well as the sushi bar and normal tables. Excellent quality in terms of fish, although Sushi Master is not Japanese. Tempura was really special with mix shellfish and vegetables. I would have expected a better selection of Beers. For a good meal do not expect less than 100CHF per person. Book a table now

We visited as a family of 4 whilst staying in the hotel and thought the restaurant was excellent. The fresh ingredients were cooked in front of us, portion sizes very generous, food full of flavours and great quality. As expected it is relatively expensive but worth the money in my view. Service was great and quick, would definitely return and recommend.

Absolutely delicious, everything was finger-licking good and they have quite a lot of choices, which makes it tough to pick as everything sounds fantastic! Family members eat here at least once a week and I can’t wait to come back... I am really picky...with Japanese restaurants (having experienced the real thing) and this came pretty close

We dined at Kamome a few weeks ago.The food was very very good with sushi and sashimi done on the spot. Really wonderful.We also enjoyed watching the various cooks prepare meat.The service is top notch as well so we had a very good evening.

we went to a 'relax ' business lunch. The food is very nice. The restaurant is lovely. The staff is helpful and accommodating to our requests. In all, we had a very nice lunch. Will recommend to others and come back again. Book a table now

To be honest I was really surprised by the quality of the food and the service ! The best restaurant I would recommend for any Valentine’s date night !
