Greet everyone... let me share our family experience in Kampachi. My family was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile when we sat on time. Immediately I notice a variety of appetizers and entrees in artsy way. Since this was our first time I was intrigued to try a few. Our ingenious and highly informative server, Paula, not only from years of experience and first hand knowledge recommended to try several of our courses. She explained to everyone when she showed great care in answering our questions while sharing which were their personal favorites. It also brought a variety of diving sauce to taste with each course. Without a doubt the best Hibachi and Japanese food I've ever eaten anywhere. It's hard to believe that in such a small town in south Louisiana you will find the best Japanese--but start believing it. Service is top notch--my wife and I have never had a bad experience with any of the wait staff. We are always seated promptly and treated with kindness. The owner and the manager are always walking around to make sure everything is fine at EVERY table and thanks you for coming and welcomes you back. The food is superb. We had a great experience! The sushi was excellent, very fresh and the portions are large. They also make them 're on unique cocktails(I personally enjoyed those with SAKE and Gurke, very refreshing and lit! The restaurant practices social distancing and limited seating, so you need to make a reservation, as well as wear a mask!
Selection of sushi was great as well as the service. Price is reasonable and portions were fair sized. I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for sushi. Also they have hibachi but looked rather small probably perfect for a private party as it looked to be in a room by itself.
