My partner and I recently ate here and we were both very pleasantly surprised by how tasty every dish was! The owner provided us with friendly, attentive service, and made excellent recommendations. The traditional Chicken Momos - Nepali dumplings filled with aromatic fresh herbs - really set the tone for the rest of the meal. We also tried the Butter Chicken (standard dish, but best tasting I've had in a while!) and the Reshmi Kebab (on the owner's recommendation), which absolutely blew our taste buds away, and came out on a sizzling hot plate for added excitement. When I walked into the restaurant there was no staff members to be seen. Unsure whether or not to seat myself or wait to be seated I just kind of stood there uncomfortably. I was seated finally by someone and my order taken promptly. The food was really good and the prices for the portions was fair, but the service really lacked. I waited awhile after my food had been finished for the bill but did not see the waiter in sight. When I got up and went to the register to pay, the waiter and another staff member were in a booth chatting. Not sure if I came on an off day or what. At least the food was good!
Groupon inspired 3 course dinner for two included the assorted platter (2 pcs Bhaja, 2 pcs Veg Pakora and 1 Samosa), Seafood Vindaloo (Goan) and Lamb Sali Bota (Persian). For dessert we had the Kheer and Kulfi. Overall the meal was quite good. I found the vindaloo not as hot as I would have liked and the lamb was a little hard/stringy although the aromatic flavours were there. Service was spotty. I did not find too many Nepalese items on the menu. Loud sounds from other areas of the restaurant punctuated our meal..
I was intrigued by the nepalis name, decor and possibility of trying new food. Went for lunch. I am not an expert in indian food, but I didn't notice any nepalis option... Seemed very similar to indian. Food was good, but not particularly tasty. Service was quick even though I only saw 1 waiter for the entire place, including outside, during busy lunch hour.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 11 years!! It has moved location to Cumberland Street a couple of years ago. I was concerned that it would not be as good as before, but it was just as great as always! The service is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and filling, and portions are generous!
