Sunday River is my favorite ski resort. The mountain is expansive with varying terrain that challenges those looking to be challenged, but also easy terrain for those looking to just cruise or who are still learning. Recently, the mountain has been going through some updates. At Jordan, they have installed New England's fastest 8 person chair lift with heated seats and a shield, and they are looking to add a 6 person chair lift to Barker with similar seating in the 23-24 season. They are also looking to expand the mountain more with more lodging, chairlifts, and trails in the foreseeable future. All of this allows for Sunday River to continue being a great mountain. SCAMMERS RACIST. I paid ahead of time for 4 days of ski rental, and I even paid for the insurance. Luckily, I kept my receipt because, White Supremacy Team member AL tried to scam me and claimed I only paid for 2 1/2 days of ski rental. He handed me an illegible hand written invoice trying to charge me for more. When I calmly explained to him that I already paid for 4 days, he asked me where us mexicans were from and when we said Florida he told us to go back to where we came from and dont come back. I was extremely shocked from this behavior. He was extremely aggressive and so was his buddy. I was genuinely scared and so were members of my group. He cussed and called us slurs on the way out...
This review is for the golf course, Jordan Spa, and Grand Summit Hotel: My wife and I were here on vacation about a week ago. We booked a stay at Grand Summit which was amazing. I booked her a prenatal massage with the Jordan Spa and they treated her as if she was royalty. I can only imagine how busy the place is during ski season, but I was so surprised that it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. My wife was the only person at the spa and had the outdoor heated pool all to herself while I was out playing golf. I got paired up with a random that was really cool and we both played pretty fast. We love going to Sunday as it's only an hour and half away from Portland. The mountain has a lot of skiing to offer to anyone looking to have fun! Also they have waffles in the middle of the trail when you're hungry
