I had a disappointing experience at the KFC on Thomaston Ave in Waterbury, Connecticut. There was an error with my order, which I informed the manager about. Unfortunately, rather than handling the situation professionally, the manager was quite rude—not overtly, but definitely in their attitude. This behavior is not what I expect from someone in a leadership position and reflects poorly on the team. While the staff were fine, I cannot recommend this location because of the management. I would rate them one star and will not be returning.
I'm a bit uncertain about my experience during my visit. I went on a Sunday (5/1/22) and found the food to be satisfactory. However, I had placed a larger order for several people and wanted to use the lobby, but it was locked. My only option was to order through the drive-thru. While this wasn't a major problem, it was a bit frustrating, especially since there was no sign indicating that the lobby was closed. If I hadn't noticed staff working inside, I might have just left.

It appeared that only a couple of staff members were present, and they didn’t seem very motivated. I’ve had much better experiences at other KFC locations. If you’re looking for a quick meal, I recommend steering clear of this place. I won’t be coming back.
This restaurant doesn’t even deserve a single star. The young lady with braids taking drive-thru orders today had one earbud in and appeared completely uninterested in listening to customers. If you’re dealing with personal issues or having a rough day, it’s better to stay home instead of bringing that negative attitude to work. It was unprofessional and really off-putting. Your behavior came across as rude!

I wouldn't rate this place even one star. The young woman with braided hair and headphones seemed completely inattentive to customers. It appeared she might have been dealing with personal problems or simply having a bad day, but her negative attitude was unprofessional and off-putting. The entire environment felt unpleasant, sticky, and poorly maintained. Her rude behavior was unacceptable!

Worst experience of my life.. everything was stale and cold and the chicken was extremely greasy and soggy I’m so upset I spent $40 on food that was not eaten. I honestly was saddened that my kids had to eat sandwiches at home after waiting an hour in the drive thru.. workers seemed very young with terrible attitudes and dirty masks.. I would not recommend .
The service at this KFC location was terrible, and after waiting 22 minutes in the drive-thru, the food was disappointing. It seemed like there were only one or two inattentive employees working. Other KFC locations are much better. I would avoid this spot if you're hungry and have things to do. I won't be coming back here again.

He had just finished work and waited 10 minutes in the drive-thru line, only to be told by the staff that they had closed at 10:20, even though their closing time is 11. They wouldn’t take any orders and said they were closed early. Very disappointing and feels like pure laziness.
