Two hardworking Hispanic women were doing their best to manage the situation, while a Hispanic man sat at a table eating during the lunchtime rush at 12:45. It seemed disrespectful that he was so comfortable while his coworkers were struggling and customers were visibly frustrated. I thought it was common in food service to avoid taking breaks during busy times, but it didn’t seem like that was the case here. The employees could really benefit from better management. The lengthy wait led several people to ask for refunds or to leave without their meals. I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the entire KFC team in Des Plaines, for supporting us in donating some delicious chicken and sides for one of our Make-A-Wish celebrations! We celebrated our wish child last week who had asked for a puppy and in the midst of getting everything ready for the grand reveal, I stopped by the store and they kindly donated food towards our cause. I came in to pick up a food order, and everyone inside just stared at me without saying a word. After about five minutes, I realized they weren't actual customers in line or in the drive-thru, so I decided to go back outside and use the drive-thru myself. That seemed like the only way to get the staff to acknowledge me. I mentioned that it would be a six-minute wait for my order, but it was clear they didn't care about their customers. They could have prepared my order in the time they spent ignoring me, especially since it had been placed well before I arrived.
Very rude staff, waited 20 minutes for order. Had to go inside after being asked to pull up to the curb because food never came out. 20 minutes later, went in to the store to ask for food all to be greeted with an attitude by a staff member asking “do I need something?” Yes??? The food I ordered and payed for? Finally got food and it tasted like garbage. Will not be returning again. Book a table now
I had a voucher for a big meal for $7.99 when I moved to the menu card, it was the same price. when I asked, I received a muttered answer to control. I moved up, gave the young man a $10 bill. he gave me my drink and then my meal. never told me how much it was, never gave me a change and gave me no reception. very bad experience.
This is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious dinner when I don’t feel like cooking. The staff is friendly and clearly enjoys their work. The restaurant is kept clean, including the restrooms. Everything is great! I would recommend it to everyone.
