I feel bad giving this place 3 stars, but our food was very bad. We ordered a few different sushi rolls and it might be some of the worst sushi I've ever had. The rice was overseasoned, with some bites having a shocking amount of rice vinegar. The taste of rice vinegar lingered in my mouth long after we had finished eating. The rice was also overcooked, leading it to be mushy. My wife absolutely loves sushi and she was taking the rice off the rolls because she couldn't eat it. I'm giving it 3 stars because the service was great, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that their other Japanese food is better, and maybe we got sushi on a bad day. I ordered Kikuya off Uber Eats tonight, including edamame, takoyaki, and a dragon roll. The edamame was still super warm and yummy when it arrived. I expected the takoyaki to be crispier, but it was softer and doughier than expected. The dragon roll was super yummy. The roll featuring shrimp tempura and topped with eel, avocado, and unagi sauce, came with 8 pieces. This was definitely one of the better restaurants I've tried in Hyde Park!
This is absolutely one of the finest place to eat in the neighborhood. Every time I visit this place I am so happy. They always keep their high standard service and the highest level of food they offer. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
One of the most authentic Japanese places I have been in the States. The quality and taste has always been incredible, and the service is top-notch. The take-outs were well packaged, and stayed delicious even after a while, even the fried tempura.
