"Good service. Personally not fond of the cart-pushing style of dimsum since it gets distracting and you don't know what items will come and when. Taste is great and lots of variety of dishes (some of which are not part of traditional dimsum)!"

I wonder if this restaurant has ever had an identity crisis. The neon sign facing the street clearly says Kim Fung, their website says Kim Fung, but everywhere else the name appears as Kam Fung.<br/ <br/ I have been exploring Chinatown recently, and decided to give this location a try. The restaurant is upstairs, inside a small office building/mall. The dining room is reasonably large and neat, with white table cloths. The servers were pleasant and helpful.<br/ <br/ I started out with a small bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. Savoury and tasty, with just the right amount of spice and vinegar for my liking. Then it was on to the Spring Roll; crispy on the outside, without being too oily. For my main...

One of the first dimsum restaurants in Montréal. I remember my first time there as a kid, before they moved to the actual location. At that time the price of a dish was linked to the china used. So they used about 8 different china sets, one for every price range. At the end of your meal, the manager would stop by and count the number of plates of each pattern/color and make up the bill. Forks were non-existant in that restaurant then.Today, the dishes served are pretty much the same ones since then but with a few adjustments to suit the changing clientele. (They have forks too. A great place for a family/group brunch. Arrive no later than 11:00am to avoid waiting 30-45 minutes for your tabl...

Unique experience which I recommend. Kam Fung is located in a 'mall ' building in Chinatown and usually there is quite a lineup around noon, but worth the wait. I 've been a couple of times and sadly the food quality has gone down. Even then, there is a good variety of food and most dishes are quite tasty. This Dim Sum is very good and the service is quick and the food is cheap. I recommend this experience as it is a good place to try new foods!

This is our usual spot for family get togethers. The food is consistently good except when they had a management change years ago. Since then, the portion sizes is more than adequate as we fed a family of eleven and still had plenty of leftovers. Would recommend this place for quality Chinese cuisine.
