I visited this restaurant for a date, and it was a delightful experience! I'm already quite familiar with Kimball House due to my involvement in the oyster community, but this was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they serve West Coast oysters, which are very rare to find in Atlanta. We sat at the bar for dinner, where a fantastic bartender took care of us. While I don't remember every detail of the food, I can confidently say that the oysters were the highlight of my meal. I do wish they still had a happy hour, but I’ll definitely return for the West Coast oysters and the exceptional shuck—truly one of the best I’ve encountered—as well as the charming presentation...
We had an incredible experience from beginning to end. The selection of oysters is outstanding. I had never tried absinthe before, so I decided to start with a cava and absinthe cocktail, which paired perfectly with the oysters—who knew? My husband enjoyed the New Tokyo cocktail with his oysters, even though he typically prefers his scotch or whiskey neat; he took the waiter's recommendation and was very pleased. We were pleasantly surprised by the way the mignonette was served; using it in a dropper form made it so much easier! I had a fantastic dinner at the Kimball House on a Tuesday night. The interior decor and overall atmosphere were delightful. My group thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the entrees, which were all excellent. It was tough to choose a favorite among the tenderloin, duck, and snapper. The grilled oysters were a unique twist on the usual Parmesan garlic style and were also impressive. However, the fried shrimp was a bit of a letdown for me; the pieces were small and a bit too heavily breaded. We decided to skip dessert there and strolled over to Butter Cream instead. I would definitely return for dinner again!
Absolutely fantastic! My partner and I had the pleasure of dining here for the first time tonight to celebrate his birthday. Everything was delightful. We really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and well-informed. The food was superb, and my partner was particularly impressed with his cocktails. I have multiple food allergies, and I'm so thankful that the Chef was able to accommodate my needs. This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants, and I'm eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

I strongly recommend this restaurant! The raw oysters were outstanding—likely the best in Atlanta, no doubt. The drinks were also impressive, and the appetizers we tried were fantastic. Be sure to try the grilled oysters and snapper crudo. As for the drinks, the Afternoon Delight had a wonderful flavor, and I’m not even a fan of absinthe. The Guava Batida, Cava Colada, and New Tokyo are also excellent choices. You really can't go wrong with this place; I will definitely return!
A classic spot for oysters in Atlanta. This restaurant boasts a prime location and offers an impressive selection of oyster varieties that changes daily. I particularly enjoyed the crab claws, duck, shrimp, and rolls. There's also the option to dine on the patio or at the bar. However, parking is somewhat limited, with only street parking available and an apartment complex across the street.
Gorgeous and fancy place in an old train station. Great atmosphere and the staff is nice. Cocktails menu is incredible and creative with a great attention to details. You can even watch all the hard work they put into creating your drinks. A negativeaspect would be the price but it is worth it since the quality is here!
Everything about Kimball House is remarkable. Luke and the other bartenders crafted fantastic cocktails and were exceptionally well-informed about the oyster selection, which is unparalleled. The journey from Atlanta to Decatur for Kimball House is always worth it. We'll definitely return.

The food and atmosphere were incredible. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, and their attention to detail is superb. My only concern with The Kimball House is that it can get quite loud, but that won't deter me from returning in the future!
