I've been enjoying my Greek food in Wilkes-Barre at this restaurant for over five years and haven't felt the need to go anywhere else since I found it. While they have a limited menu, everything is fresh and incredibly tasty, and the service is quick and friendly. Apart from the Greek festivals, this is the best Greek food you can find in town, available year-round. Parking: There are three spots available on the street.
Great place to get cheesesteaks. They put plenty of cheese in them so it's all gooey and tastes really good. Would also recommend the cheese fries too. I will ride a bus all the way from Nanticoke to get them.Update 4/28/24There is also a sub shop on the other side of the King of Kings. They make italian hoagies. They're really good and also cheaper than Subways.
I grew up on 2 foot cheese steaks from the bottom of the Morgan Highway. Though 1 or 2 other honorable mentions in the area, this is by far the best accurate cheese steak around. If you want a good roll, quality meat, and whiz if you like it, this is the place to go. HIGHLY recommended on pierogis and the gyros are top notch too!
Tonight I returned here and there was a single guy working alone balancing all the orders because they were short staffed this night. He was so kind and was working hard and fast, and these are genuinely the MOST delicious gyros I’ve ever had. If you are considering eating here, please do it. You will not regret it! So happy. I will never return to that restaurant. I ordered their Monster-sized gyro and was extremely disappointed. The size of the portion I received does not match the price I paid.
