Never before has everyone in our family each had a wonderful dish at the same time place. Typically there is one dish that is just “ok”. We were all absolutely thrilled with our choices. I had the scallops they were so good. My husband had the sweat tea brined chicken raved about it. My son had the dry aged steak put it in his top 5 all time favorite meals. Nephew had the chicken pot pie there wasn’t a morsel left. SIL had the burger with homemade tator tots. She literally said that eating the tator tots was like a religious experience, lol. We were too full for dessert, but it looked amazing. We will be back! In fact, we are going there again tonight.
Decided to try the restaurant at the Alexandrian for the first time. Glad I did. Service was great (I sat at the bar). My food order came out quickly and was piping hot. I ordered the ?pork beans?. It?s a thick pork chop on a bed of petite red beans. Honestly didn?t really know what to expect, but the combination worked well. Really delicious. Beans were firm, not mushy and flavor was a little on the Cajun side. The bar and restaurant were hopping. Will be back and
I was excited to try this place but as some of the reviews stated the food is quite bland. We started with the kale salad and cornbread. The cornbread was dry and not sweet at all. Kale salad was meh. I ordered the trout with a side of fries, sad to say French fries was the best part of the meal. The trout had so much potential if they had actually used salt and pepper. My sissy enjoyed her burger with tater tots. I would not return.
I did the globe for brunch, which is outside but heated. They do provide blankets but I don't think you will need them. I had the omelet with spinach and potatoes. My son had the burger with whiskey onions and tater tots. For our starter we had deviled eggs and a cinnamon bun. I have to get better at taking pictures.

Had a very tasty (and slightly pricey) dinner here. The pork chop was fantastic, as was the banana pudding and skillet cookie for dessert. Trout was so so. Service was very friendly. The inside was nice, clean and spacious, though it lacked a bit of charm. Overall, solid stop would dine again.
We enjoyed our dinner last week at King and Rye. The Shrimp and Grits and ?Pork and Beans? were delicious and arrived quickly. Our group also enjoyed biscuits, fried pickles, and New York Sours. I recommend the food but I will say the entrees seem a bit pricy for what you can get in Old Town.
Came to brunch after church. Got there around 1pm. The cast iron cinnamon roll and breakfast were already sold out. Went with the short rib Pimento cheese sandwich. Overall, I have a good experience, I would like to try something else if I go back.
Sunday breakfast was delicious. That smothered chicken and biscuit with eggs was down right magical. It tasted like Thanksgiving for breakfast. Deviled eggs was good and the pancakes was extra fluffy.
