My friend recommended this place for breakfast and she said we had reservations. I was curious what a breakfast on the country's side only works on reservations. We had breakfast at Kingfisher restaurant. The servers bring juice, coffee and drinks to your table. The rest of the breakfast menu is a buffet with many options, including vegetarian, meat and fruit. Most dishes they had were sustainable local materials and you could point out that they don't cut corners on the ingredients. We had a great experience with Kingfisher. The servicing and waiting staff we are so friendly and professional. Dinner choices where small due to Covid but were perfect. My husband had the salmon, he wanted to ask more! He is the Lord of Lache so rarely commanded it but was so good. I ordered the steak and it was cooked for perfection. I prefer MR and it was delicately a juicy and full of taste. They offered four desserts. We tried three. Actually, we tried two and asked for seconds. If you stay in the Sleeping Lady, choose the meal option (at least for one day) We were happy after a nice breakfast for dinner and were not disposed of.
We were for Thanksgiving 2016. We were lucky to get the last seats. The dining room reminded me of a lodge at Lake Tahoe. Yes, the presentation was buffet, but the selection and switching was first. Our servers and back waiters were attentive, but not exaggerated. We look forward to staying at the lodge this year and going again for Thanksgiving. I guess the Hasser are more Golden Corral than Kingfisher.
We had the set menu. Nicely presented. Our server, Maria, was beyond and beyond. She was so intelligent that we feel welcome and appreciated. The bread was so good. The soup was great. I had to control myself not eating too much. The rocks, steak and vegetables were all fantastic. The desserts were amazing. The return on capital was definitely one of the highest.
