Lively small brewery with a lot going on. On the outside it looks much like most beer warehouses, with decent outdoor seating, located along the Metra tracks in a gentrified Highwood IL (just down the street from the former Fort Sheridan army post, converted to an upscale residential community along Lake Michigan 25 years ago). It has a large interior space for bad weather, post-COVID gathering, but also hosts a hidden gem of two state-of-the-art golf simulators (which were constantly busy). Great golf and beer...double win. Having neither brought our clubs, nor our pooch...sitting on their doggo friendly and sun-drenched west-facing patio was most welcome on a cool spring day. After lunch, my wife and I decided to explore a brewery we'd never visited before. We stumbled upon The Kings Convicts Brewing Co. in Highwood. This spot offers a variety of delicious beers and plenty of fun games to keep you entertained. We played cornhole while sipping on their amber ale. They also have golf simulators and footballs available for some casual throwing. It's a great venue for friends to gather and relax. The staff was laid-back, friendly, and approachable. An adorable corgi named Pickles often roams the place, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The brewery also has some cool merchandise for sale.
I was very disappointed with my visit. This location is not actually a brewing facility; it's mainly a distribution point for Ballast Point, which has been acquired by K&C. All the beer is brewed at Ballast Point's facilities in San Diego. While the beer itself is good, I wouldn't recommend visiting unless you're okay with drinking in a garage or on the driveway. The bartender seemed indifferent and lacked knowledge about the offerings. If you want to enjoy their beer, I suggest finding a nicer venue, as it all comes from kegs anyway.
We came primarily for the beers, which are priced at around $6 a pint. The selection is pretty limited; one of the few options was the Captain Freelove Blonde Ale, which is easy to sip and is actually quite smooth. Again, there’s no food on-site, but you can bring something from nearby. While it may not be the most impressive brewery, it does have a few great beers and a fun golf simulator. It could be a decent spot for parties or gatherings. Book a table now
We had a wonderful time today. Ethan made our experience so enjoyable, as he is so friendly and even introduced us to golf, which we had a blast playing. The beer is awesome and perfect for a sunny fall day. We listened to Amazon Music and also had Netflix and other apps we could enjoy on our own TV. Highly recommend, and Ethan is awesome!
We were so pleased to find this place, yesterday. Phenomenal craft beers and incredibly knowledgeable and friendly service. It was very cool to play the virtual golf with my family. Looking forward to coming back very soon!

This is a fantastic spot to unwind. Dyllon and Juan were wonderful, and the beer is excellent.
