Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. Despite the fact that it was not very busy, we were seated at a less-than-desirable table. The service was extremely slow, and our waitress seemed to be inexperienced or nervous. The food was mediocre, with my steak being overcooked and the profiterole undercooked. The restaurant and bar at the hotel offered a great selection of drinks, and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Although we didn't have breakfast, we would expect it to be of the same high quality as the dinner. Additionally, there is a large free parking lot available. Overall, the King's Head in Acle is a fantastic place to stay while exploring Norfolk and the broads, and we even ventured as far as Sheringham and Cromer. If we were to return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.

We visited this restaurant one evening after it had changed management, and were pleasantly surprised by the improvements. The menu had been vastly improved, with a better selection and no more "dirty chips." We had our dog with us, so we had to sit in the outside bar area. We enjoyed the ribs and Mac'n'cheese. We would definitely return as the pub is heading in the right direction.

Came with friends on 24th for a Christmas dinner, table had been booked weeks before. When we arrived we were told items on menu were no longer available including the turkey which we all had expected. No Christmas atmosphere or Christmas music, very disappointed after travelling from Nottinghamshire.
