This is a beautiful late 15. Century Class II listed wood framed pub, so has bags of character and a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and hearty portions. I had fish and chips and the twice cooked chips were the most crispy, fluffy, tasty chips I've ever had! After a day in sunshine we sat inside and sniffed the atmosphere, but there is also a large beer garden outside, which was still in the warm April sunshine. We will definitely be back!
