Food was severely lacking in flavour, quality and general appeal. I saw this place online and looked great, although the overall customer service was of a high standard with kind and attentive waiters/waitresses, the food took us off guard. We ordered a rib eye steak (requested as medium rare but arrived extremely well done), 2x bland chicken steaks and a chewy little lamb steak, all with a far from generous helping of garlic sauce. It hurts me to see such a great cut of beef which claims to be marbled, to be disrespected by the way this was cooked. The service was poor. The waitress was rude, the prawns were soggy, the steaks were not nice, the steak sandwich was uncooked, one colleague ended up hitting my friend on the head as he moved tables. We asked them to ask the big party to just turn the screaming down. Couldn’t hear any of our conversations. We asked to be moved and got told those seats are reserved. Only good thing was to hear they’ve taken the usual drinks off the menu. Other than that e have collectively decided we will not come back.
Spare ribs starter was out of this world, succulent, melt in the mouth and unexpectedly (but wonderfully) spicy. T-bone Dexter pretty good, ordered rare- but should have gone medium rare with the bone. Tender but not as stand out as the ribs. I would have loved a glass or red with my steak however the restaurant is not licensed, a bring your own bottle option would suffice. For this reason alone I may look elsewhere when next I dine out for steak
The food at this restaurant is exceptional in both quality and quantity. It is a hidden gem in Leicester and a must-visit spot.
