We ordered a Kurobuta Katsu (Oroshi Katsu) and a Mozzarella Katsu (Tomato Cheese), priced at around $25-30 each. Each meal includes a large freshly fried pork cutlet, cabbage salad, pickled side dishes, white rice, and miso soup.Oroshi flavor comes with a generous amount of grated daikon radish, it is very refreshing. The Katsu is perfectly fried, not greasy at all. We preferred the pork loin katsu because of the juicy texture instead of the tenderloin ones.As for the Tomato Cheese flavor, it's a bit hard to describe. We weren't big fans of the tomato sauce. When it combines with cheese and fried food, it feels like having a pizza. The dining environment is pleasant, clean, and quiet. The sta...

I went to this place with a couple of friends for my partner's birthday and I was thoroughly impressed. It is a small restaurant, and seating is scarce yet also high in demand, you'll have to line up at the restaurant before opening to get a spot (unless you have a reservation, which we did)This restaurant is definitely a little more pricey, but it's definitely worth it. Their curry sauce is unique but it is made really well and really complimented the cuts of meat. The pickled veggies they handed out also cleansed the palate really well and kept me wanting to eat more.I cannot comment on the quality of the alcohol as I do not drink, but my friends there that drank said the sake was great.The...
The food was decent, but in my opinion, it was overpriced and overhyped. I don't think I'll be returning. I ordered the regular katsu chicken and was quite disappointed; I can't believe I paid $25 for that, along with a mountain of cabbage and some rice. If you're going to spend that much, I recommend opting for the katsu nabe instead. For just $1 more, you get a delicious soup loaded with veggies and meat. Another downside is that the place gets quite crowded, which can be especially uncomfortable if you're seated in the middle. On a positive note, the staff were polite and friendly. I believe this restaurant could improve its rating if it lowered its prices and perhaps rethought its layout...
This Japanese restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind. The staff is incredibly friendly and adds to the fun atmosphere. It's become our go-to spot, reminiscent of the cozy, bustling eateries we enjoyed in Japan. Despite its small size and crowds, the food is exceptional. I highly recommend trying their cheese katsu – it's a must-try! Book a table now
Best katsu in Seattle!! The katsudon is quite similar to the one I had in Japan. Love how authentic everything is! I came at 6pm and had to wait 45 minutes so I recommend coming a few minutes before they open at 5 to skip the wait.
The katsudon was absolutely delicious! The pork was incredibly juicy and crispy, and the rice had just the right amount of brothiness. The miso soup and cabbage were also wonderful.
The prices are a bit high, but the concept, flavor, and portion sizes at this tonkatsu restaurant are all excellent! I had to wait an hour on a weekend evening.
I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve always had great food and great service. It can get busy at times but the katsu is 100% worth the wait. Book a table now
