The only time I visited Kocher's Market was during the early days of COVID. They were only accepting phone orders, and you had to know exactly what you wanted. Fortunately, I found enough pictures online to help me decide. At the time, I was on a quest to find Grobe Schmeerwurst, and they had the Forest Pork Store brand, which I liked, so I was happy. Unfortunately, most other deli items weren’t available due to supply issues at the start of the pandemic. We ordered some salami, which I enjoyed, bratwursts that we loved, and a few chocolates that were also great. Everything we got was delicious! I’m looking forward to the day I can walk inside the store and shop normally. The person who took...

What a disappointment. I have been a customer of Kochers since 1997, but did not visit the store for the past 8 years. The store is nothing in comparison it was back then. It is half empty, sad looking, without the decorations they used to have. But most upsetting, the variety of meats and sausages is so poor. I asked for Weißwurst but was told they ran out of it. Ok, the Maultaschen they used to sell, -not any longer available. The other sausages looked sad and the Leberkaes had a less than appetizing gray-green color. I did buy a few German candies but noticed later that 2 of them were already past their expiration date and tasted very stale :(I know the original family sold the store and...

Kocher's Market is a true treasure in northern New Jersey, offering a delightful taste of the old world with its impressive menu of European delicacies. As a primarily German deli and butcher, this market is a fantastic destination for both locals and newcomers in search of something special. Their sausages are outstanding, along with a variety of other products they provide. This unique establishment is unlike anything you'll find in supermarkets. Their dedication to quality and emphasis on beloved products truly set them apart, making them a vital part of our communities. I highly recommend visiting Kocher's Market; you won’t be disappointed! I was so disappointed to visit Kocher's Market after a long time. I stopped by for a small craving, hoping to get the peanuts—now called cocktail Frank's—but they were disgusting and nothing like the original recipe. The displays were almost empty. What on earth happened?
The products are consistently fresh, and the store is spotlessly clean. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. While the prices are a bit higher, the quality justifies it. I highly recommend the chicken cutlets and the chopped chuck cold cuts.
It appears that Kocher's Market has closed down. I visited yesterday and saw that the doors and windows were covered with kraft paper, and there was a lockbox by the entrance.
They are not in business any longer???? Stopped by yesterday and there is kraft paper on the doors windows and also a lockbox by the doors.... Book a table now
Places like this are special as not many exist anymore. Amazing dog and brat. Plus, great mustard selection.
Welcoming atmosphere with an excellent variety of German foods and condiments.

"I had to have some chicken nuggets and fries, and they still have the best fries in my opinion. Make sure to always double-check your order before leaving the counter or drive-thru, so you don't realize later that something is missing. You should know better."
