Our visit coincided with the Plant 4 Friday night markets, but we were there for dinner after a show at our nearby favourite Holden Street Theatres Kome Kome's blackboard dinner offerings sounded great. Chef Akihiko Kurashima has built a functional ground-floor kitchen|dining space on the western edge of Plant 4 overlooking Bowden Park We ordered Barramundi and Shimeji Saute and a Miso-marinated Pork Loin Chop. Our visit coincided with the Friday night markets plan, but after catching a show at our favorite nearby street theatre, Kome Kome's dinner table sounded like a great option. Chef Akihiko Kurashima runs a functional kitchen and dining space on the western edge of Plant 4, overlooking Bowden Park. We tried the barramundi and shimeji saute, as well as the miso-marinated pigeon. Both dishes were presented beautifully on China plates, a welcome change from the usual takeout containers we've seen at other places. I dine at this restaurant regularly, and Aki is a fantastic cook and barista. The coffee is consistently good, and the food never disappoints. The salmon dish is outstanding for breakfast or lunch, as well as the new udon dish. The tiramisu is also delicious, and the sushi is top-notch. Overall, everything on the menu is excellent. The service is always friendly and attentive.

I frequently visit this restaurant and always appreciate the friendly and efficient service from the owner. He is polite and attentive. The restaurant also opens earlier and more frequently than other coffee shops in plant 4, making it a great spot for an early morning coffee.
