I found it a bit surprising that despite the pouring rain, there was a long line outside Monmouth Coffee House, while next door at Konditor and Cook it was warm and dry with fewer people waiting and more available seats. Although Monmouth Coffee House is equally good and has a social atmosphere during breakfast, the long waiting time was a drawback for me. I prefer Konditor and Cook for their spectacular cakes and excellent coffee. I often have lunch at Borough Market and then indulge in a sticky cake and coffee at Konditor and Cook. As I glanced through the window of the restaurant, I initially thought to myself, "I am definitely not going to spend that much on mince pies, that's ridiculous!" However, we decided to take a chance and walk in, where we noticed they had samples available to taste on the counter. To my surprise, it turns out that you truly get what you pay for when it comes to mince pies! We ended up taking home a box of delicious mince pies that are disappearing quickly. The samples of Christmas cake and stollen were also very tasty, with lovely flavors that weren't overly sweet. In search of a special occasion gluten-free cake, I found Konditor and Cook's noisette delight to be absolute perfection. Two layers of nut-based sponge enclose a central chocolate nut sponge layer, all separated and topped with thick chocolate ganache. I defy anyone to eat more than 2 pieces at a go. An intense, fluffy, moist, nutty, creamy chocolate divine experience. A 7-inch was more than enough for 5 people over at least 2 days. Worth every penny of the cost of the cake and delivery. Wonderful, joyful, helpful, friendly and professional patisseurs who love what they do, could only produce this heaven of a dessert.

This cake is simply amazing and the frosting is to die for! The cake is again of lovely texture and consistency with an amazing flavour. Probably one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. Wow we stumbled across this place yesterday after fighting our way through borough market. The hot chocolate was DELICIOUS!! The chocolate raspberry cake was DELICIOUS Fruit crumble was DELICIOUS extra hot water provided and lots of free treats to be had. After a long day of work training, I decided to stop by this restaurant in search of a cup of tea and a slice of cake. I opted for the noisette cake and was thoroughly impressed by how delicious it was. Although I would have loved to have another slice, the price of £4.20 per slice, while generously sized, led me to pass on it. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this place.
Bottomless cake and prosecco. This was a great two hours of trying all the cakes along with sparkling , chilled prosecco and lovely coffee. The girls were unintrusive, friendly, efficient and non-judgemental! I really enjoyed it. This was at The Bow Lane branch!
Great mince pies BUT: 14 December 6 mince pies for £9. 21 December 6 mince pies for £12 (or 2 packets for £18! . Despicable behaviour. And no reply to two emails sent to customer services.

Thoroughly enjoyed this eve at The Bow Lane branch. The ladies looked after us beautifully replenishung our prosecco, coffees, waters and CAKE! Cosy establishment, nice decor!
recommend most things in here but the Brownies are very special and you can get a selection box for friends
