After visiting the Maximilian Museum during lunch hours we walked through the old city of Augsburg and we found the King of Flandres, a brewery in the basement with lots of space. We arrived just at pm, the hour when in other restaurants the...kitchen are cold, but at KoF offers happy hours the main dish at disount wonderful. Potatoes, sausages, brewers plate with sausages and meat, steak quite good and all at half price, combined with their brewed beer and sour dough bread tasty. We sought out this restaurant because we could walk to it from where we were staying and it had decent reviews. It's in a basement to begin with but we were seated in the very far back room. There were two other seated tables near...us and we watched while they were served repeatedly and we were ignored. Finally my husband got up and asked an employee if we were forgotten. They eventually took our order and brought out a couple of beers but then we waited again for a long time. No one checked on us to see if we wanted more beers or for bread or anything. The food was also just ok, definitely not worth the wait. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
We arrived in Augsburg the night before the last workday before Christmas, and realised getting a Restaurant reservation was going to be difficult. Fortunately, this wonderful brew-house restaurant below a brilliant book-shop was able to accept us. Front of house welcome was efficient, our table...for two comfortable, beer and wine list varied, menu offering traditional Bavarian and waiting staff pleasant and efficient. Would definitely return.
We went to konig von flandern after reading the TripAdvisor reviews now it’s wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great. The food was very good . Great size meals and a good price however the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was busy but it...wasn’t packed and it was only early. I would probably eat here again because the food was good but only if I wasn’t in a hurry.

Situated underneath a bookshop, the ideal combination, this brewery restaurant is situated between the Rathaus and the Dom. The food is nice, typical Bavarian menu but the beer is beautiful try the Doppelbock to keep out the cold weather. There is a collection of personalised...tankards on the wall, securely locked, until required.
Restaurant is in the cellar. Not good to go there with a wheelchair. The beer is selfebrewed and tastes good! Food is bavarian, but nothing special. In my personal oppinion they want to sell you bavarian feeling but it is just show. I don‘t like...it so much there.... Arround are much better restaurants...
A traditional Bavarian restaurant in a basement of an old house. Very busy when we visited the place on Friday night. Live traditional accordeon music and Bavarian food. We didn't eat though. The Weizen I had was pretty decent. At least it was really fresh....There is no network coverage down there.
Very nice restaurant setup with friendly and welcoming staff and friendly Waitress Ramona.. The restaurant has also a great selection of beer and wine. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. I visited this restaurant for a second time during my days...stay in Augsburg
