The food was tasty and fast... perhaps too fast. The sushi rolls fell apart, probably because they weren't pressed together enough to keep them from falling apart. Perhaps part of the problem was that the server and her mom were more worried about playing with the little one with them than serving the actual customers. The Kani salad was delicious but tiny. That was not worth the money at all. There either wasn't desert, or the staff was trying to get rid of us quickly, because she never even asked us if we wanted it. It was a dine-in experience, and we were in and out within 30-35 minutes. Prompt service is one thing; this seemed rushed.
Used to have date nights here with my husband...we stopped 10+ years ago because everything changed. We've tried a couple times here and there but never been the same!! Miso soup used to have ACTUAL CHUNKS OF TOFU!! THE SEAWEED SALD WAS COVERE IN DRESSING AND ROE!! And, the sushi was wrapped without falling apart when you picked it up! The taste was of fresh raw fish, not whatever this garbage is they keep trying to pass off as real sushi!! We keep trying but it is only more disappointing! Especially for the price!!
Was not impressed with the sushi. Miniscule amount of salmon in the Philadelphia roll. Same went for the Dragon roll although we didn't bother to get a photo of it. Hibachi dinners were good. Also have never been denied a seat at the hibachi. Yes, we were just a couple, 4 other couples came in after we did, none allowed a hibachi seat. It wasn't until a family of 4 (2 were practically toddlers) were allowed a hibachi seat.
Food is always good and quick. But the service at regular tables rather than my habachi service is so bad and rushed. Dont ask what we want to drink, Dont come back for refills just hand us the check randomly without asking if we wanted anything else or dessert. Our chef was amazing! Very friendly and put on a great show. Generally the service beyond the chef was below average. I had to ask them to clean the hibachi table/station after we had already sat down and food had already been sterted to be served. The restaurant itself is very old and rundown looking both outside and inside. Compliments to our chef once again.
