the restaurant krokodil is a very good one. I was there twice during my stay in heidelberg and was thrilled each time by the excellent quality of eating, the friendliness of the personal and the cozy atmosphere that prevails in the inner. the first time I ate a rumpsteak and the second time a grill plate and both dishes were delicious, very well prepared and presented. You can also drink good wine of various origins. I had the perfectly seasoned tomato soup and the bauernsalat – I was shocked when I realized that the tomato tasted as if they were coming from my garden in the south of new jersey! crisp gurks, not too salty olives, not too many red wobbles and cheese cubes were a joy for my too many! the salat was accompanied by two huge pieces of garlic bread... so much too low carb because it was the hammer! my man has veiled the traditionally panned calfscarf and from the tart of my very picky daughter who was more of a fladenbrot with ham, swash, sour cream and cheese, nothing was left... and even though that didn't sound very appealing - it tasted very good!
after a busy day in heidelberg we had not the power to go back to the center from our hotel to dinner. we have found about trip advisor this restaurant near our hotel and have approached it. it is a kind of pub with wooden and crocodiles as decoration. it was full of German public (it is a residential area). the waitresses are very friendly and fast, they speak fluent English and eating is plentiful and tasty. if I were in the middle, I would be much higher in the ranking. recommended if they catch it with the hand.
we appreciate that locally in a very special way, away from the very good and surprisingly inexpensive offer with the lunch card. the evening card clearly deviates, it is much more demanding and equally very, very good. an excellent rumpsteak is part of the offer, which is not available on the lunch card. for this is the offer at lunch extremely cheap and yet qualitatiw good!The service is very excellent, very friendly and helpful, simple class!Unconditionally reserve the local is very popular and very well visited. this restaurant is not located in the main pedestrian zone of the old town, but offers really solid German cuisine with a large selection of dressed. we found the service here very friendly and professional. very generous portioning and overall a good value for money.
I like pork, but after 10 days in bayern and Austria we have been looking for something else and have become fuzzy at krokodil! wonderful service, great local audience. lamb, sweet and noodles with ham and cheese were wonderful!
I've been in the crocodile a couple times. once the spade was simply perfect, sometimes it was negligent and tasteless. the same applies to the duck in winter. it was juicy and crispy, sometimes dry.
