After taking the tram up to the Pöstlingbergkirche and wandering around in the fog it was perfect to relax in this cafe. The coffee was quite tasty and even though they didn 't list einspänner on the menu, they did have whipped cream... so it was perfect! (just ask for grosse kaffee mit schlag, bitte ;
Sehr kleines gemütliches Café aus der Kuk Zeit. Mit vielen alten Fotos und Bildern. Gutes Gebäck, Kuchen und Kleinigkeiten zum mitnehmen oder direkt vor Ort zu essen. Das Café liegt direkt in einer Parallel Strasse zum Marktplatz fußläufig. Ein hübscher Ort zum Verweilen. Eine gute Empfehlung
We had coffee and dessert here and found it very good. The young girl who waited on us was very friendly and polite. We ate inside and loved the feel in there. Old photos and paintings gave it a feeling of a century ago. We...were very pleased.

Ambiente außergewöhnlich. Service nett und bemüht. Frühstück war auch ganz ok. Mohnweckerl leider etwas trocken. Marmelade sehr gut. Kaffee auch Eierspeise mit 2 Eiern dürfte jedoch mit Wachteleiern gemacht worden sein.
Das Ladenlokal des k.u.k. Hofbäckers ist historisch, nostalgisch, urig, einfach zauberhaft! Die feinen Backwaren sind köstlich, vorallem die Linzer Torte, meiner Meinung nach die beste der Stadt.
