The service was less than great. Our waitress never came back to check on us after brining us our food. She wore face covering under her chin. Our egg's were over cooked and cold so we sent them back. Our waffle was too tuff to eat. Our egg's then came back runny so we said forget it. The chicken taste like it had been cooked in burned old grease and we had ordered an extra piece of chicken with our meal's. ? Again the wait staff was very unprofessional until the end when she brought us our bill and then became real personable (I guess looking for a good tip) and said.. see y'all next time No she won't! We're never coming back but still left a nice tip. I know good help is hard to find durin...
This place is horrible. We arrived yesterday and had to sit and wait for 1 1/2 for cold food. Our waitress was very disappointing to say the least. I asked for hot water to dip my silverware in and she gave me cold water... I requested another Kool aid which I never received... after waiting over an hour our food arrived cold. The young lady who seated us did everything in her power by to get us to come back by giving us gift cards which we are never going to use... I would never recommend this place to anyone... horrible service and experience. Do not waste your time or money
If I could rate this place, I would give it 0 out of 5 stars. There was no one at the door and the service was terrible. After waiting for an hour, we still didn't receive our drinks and the food was cold. We asked for fresh food but never got it, waiting a total of 1.5 hours. The manager was nowhere to be found and only offered us a gift card for our next visit, which we declined. Many others also had bad experiences and had to constantly ask for a manager. I suggest saving your time and not visiting this restaurant.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! While the service has been a bit slow since the pandemic, the food is still amazing. The manager even came to our table to thank us for our patronage, and shared with us that they have a dedicated team of loyal workers who help keep the place running smoothly. We completely understand and will continue to support them! By the way, the grilled velvet pancakes and grits are a must-try. Have you seen them?

I had the Southern meal at Hazel's, which included wels, macaroni and cheese, greens, and a delicious biscuit. For dessert, I enjoyed Nana's cookies and gravy. We also tried the ultimate margaritas from the bar and my wife had the refreshing Kool-Help cocktail. The yams and macaroni and cheese were perfect for our little one, and we took home some margaritas to enjoy later. Overall, a delicious and satisfying experience at Hazel's.
I have been here SEVERAL times before and 2day was a bit different. Our server Mercedes was HORRIBLE. I understand you are pregnant but the dismissive attitude was unmatched. We waited 45 minutes to get our food when it's typically 25. The food was great but this server and her service can kick rocks
The food was really good super hot and fresh the greens were my fav I gave 4 stars because the waitress gave off a idc attitude that rubbed me the wrong way so kudos to the kitchen staff I will be back came all the way from Houston to try this spot o a the mixed kool aid is the truth
This restaurant in Detroit offers some of the best breakfast options. They also serve a large glass of refreshing Cool-Aid with their fluffy waffles. The eggs are cooked perfectly and all the dishes are spot on.

It was mediocre. The grits and salmon croquettes were awful. The catfish was awesome, the potatoes were good but cold. The staff very nice friendly and accommodating.
Bring your appetite! The homemade waffles are delicious. There’s a loud ambiance but it’s not in unbearable
