A couple of times a year we make an effort to head on over to Kyoto Palace to get our fix. And each year is a different experience Our chef today was great with my family, made us feel comfortable by speaking spanish (he was asian) and knew allthe right things to say to keep the laughs going. The talent was there and he held it down on the grill. The reason i amgiving them 4 stars and not 5 is because the food was perfect for 5/6 of us. My wife eats gluten and dairy free, because ofallergy, and we were disappointed to experience that the communication made with the server did NOT get passed on to thechef. Set on the second floor in the Pruneyard, we stumbled upon this place. It looks small and quaint externally but I was surprised to see it was quite a large place inside and was pretty busy given it was a Tuesday evening. Had a great time for a familybirthday dinner in the bar area. It was our first time here and the bar man was excellent and went beyond expectations. Hereally made our trip out worthwhile. We had sushi, the specialty rolls were pretty good. Draft beer was quite reasonable at $7and they had a few good selections on tap including Mango cart. Family friendly place, will definitely be back.

Had a great time for a family birthday dinner in the bar area. It was our first time here and the Barmann was excellent and went beyond expectations. He made our trip worthwhile. Went here at my granddaughters request. It had been many years since I went to this type of restaurant. While it's fun to watch the chef do the cooking it's not conducive to being able to eat the food on your plate at the same time and temperature sincethe rice, meat and veggies are cooked one after another. Most items were tasty but the New York steak was a bit chewy not veryflavorful. Dinner does include soup, salad and ice cream for dessert.
